  10. This is a port of Bison 1.24 for the Acorn Archimedes and Risc PC systems.
  11.  
  12. To build this software you will need a copy of Paul Moores Utils library,
  13. which should be available from an archive near you...
  14.  
  15. This version was ported and tested on an A5000 running RISC OS 3.10 so I
  16. can't guarantee that it will run on anything else, but there's no reason
  17. why it shouldn't.

  19. For information on bison and what it does, see the information in the docs
  20. directory. This contains the Un*x manual page in [nt]roff format and the
  21. bison manual in texinfo format.

  23. The skeletons supplied, bsn/simple and bsn/hairy need to be placed somewhere
  24. on File$Path for bison to be able to find them. Also, very little testing has
  25. been done on the semantic parsers which use the bsn/hairy skeleton, so I
  26. have no idea how well this will work. The skeleton for the simple parser
  27. has been modifed to compile cleanly on RISC OS though.

  29. Finally, please note that you will need to compile alloca.c and link the
  30. resulting object with any program that uses a bison parser.
